This is literally ONLY true about the modern GOP. It's the Federalist Society's ONE JOB. There's one caveat: the GOP wants them rightwing AND as young as possible. At some point, they're going to nominate them on nothing but a good LSAT score & the intent to join FedSoc.
@benshapiro Also, there's a reason Democrats never miss with their SCOTUS picks: they overtly choose wild Leftists. That's the only real qualification. They wouldn't care whether Biden nominated an HLS grad who clerked for Breyer or Cardi B, so long as that person voted reliably Left.
